Advanced machining: how to become more productive

** Event in French only ** Conference offered by Vincent Thomasset-Laperrière, Director of Research and Partnerships for Productique Québec

This conference presents the methods and technologies to implement on your CNC machine to be more productive.

The technologies presented reduce start-up times, improve machining performance and eliminate quality defects.

Concrete examples will be presented to illustrate this.

Biography: Vincent Thomasset-Laperrière, Director of Research and Partnerships. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal with a manufacturing focus, I have always had a strong interest in manufacturing technologies. Nearly 10 years at Pratt & Whitney Canada in the Process Development and Manufacturing Applications group, have enabled me to implement innovative technologies using computer-aided manufacturing and simulation methodologies. My career path then led me to be a lecturer in digital transformation at the École de technologie supérieure, while helping companies integrate advanced manufacturing technologies.

I have been at Productique Québec for nearly 5 years where I had the chance to support manufacturing companies in their digital transformation. Recently, I led the creation and integration of a metal additive manufacturing cell with post-processing machining. I am now Director of Research and Partnerships and I continue to promote the use of advanced manufacturing technologies to help Quebec manufacturing companies productively.

This free conference is offered as part of the Salon Industriel de l’Estrie. No reservation required. However, make sure you are pre-registered to visit the show!
